Helpful Hints for a Successful Fundraiser
- Determine how much money your organization needs to accomplish your goal. Make sure all potential sellers know how many items they need to sell in order to reach that goal.
- Joe Corbi’s Rewards Program is designed to help you increase your individual sales. Remind everyone that they have the opportunity to receive a reward from Joe Corbi’s.
- Attach a detailed cover letter with each brochure instructing the sellers. Ask our Customer Service Representative to e-mail you a sample letter. See our website under selling tools for sample letters.
- To Promote the sale, place the posters provided by Joe Corbi’s in high visibility areas like bulletin boards and main entrance corridors. Promote your sale on your organizations website. Have parents or volunteers hang sales fliers at their place of employment. Make phone calls and send emails to family, friends, and co-workers announcing the sale. Continually make announcements during the sale to remind your sellers to continue selling to meet their goals.
- Joe Corbi’s does not endorse door-to-door selling. Encourage the sellers to call their friends, family members, co-workers, and anyone else they know who would enjoy supporting your organization.
- Have reminders during the sale to ensure continued selling. Let everyone know where your organization is in reference to your sales goal. Also have reminders for the delivery date and pick up time.
- We’ve finished selling! Simply collect the collection envelopes and money. Using your Tally Sheets, total the envelopes and make sure the quantities and total dollar amount agree. Next, deposit the money in your group account. When you phone in the order you’ll be given the amount due so have a pen handy and write the total amount due down on your checklist sheet and have the check ready for the driver at delivery.
